Make Money With AdWords And AdSense

Labels: , , , , ,

Everyone is scrambling for news about the new kids on the net, AdWords and AdSense that is. You’ve got to hand it to Google. They’ve really outdone themselves this time.
AdWords is Google’s pay-per-click advertising program. AdWords is similar to other pay-per-click advertising programs, but the other side of the coin, AdSense, makes it an incredibly powerful advertising program. I’ll get to that in a moment, for now let’s take a look at AdWords and how it works.
With AdWords, you can create your very own advertisements or you can have Google’s team design the advertising campaign for you. When you create AdWords advertisements, they appear on the internet right away. You have complete control of your budget as you only pay when your ad is clicked on and you can set your very own daily limits for what you are willing to pay. There is no minimum budget or locked in time that you have to run your campaign. You choose the keywords you want to target, so you get targeted traffic from your ads, people who are looking for specifically what you have to offer.
You can rely on Google for quick, friendly and knowledgeable support when you need it. Additionally, you can access performance reports that keep you informed on how well your advertising is doing so you can make changes as needed.
I know all that sounds pretty similar to other pay-per-click programs, but now let’s take a look at the other side.
AdSense
AdSense adds a powerful punch to the AdWords program as well as giving website operators the ability to make money from their websites by displaying Google Ads (those from the AdWords program). So, as an AdWords advertiser, you’ve got an advantage in that website operators are providing high quality content to browsers and because of the keywords, your ads appear on their websites in clear view of individuals who are looking for your products or services.
As a website operator, you can choose keywords for the AdSense program that are relevant to the content you provide. The keywords will draw in relative advertisements to be displayed on your website, things that your browsers are interested in, which adds value to the information provided to your visitors. When your website visitors click on a Google Ad, you gain revenue from that click. Providing high quality, relative content is key to making money with AdSense.
AdWords and AdSense are win-win propositions for advertisers and website operators. Advertisers get targeted traffic to their websites at minimal costs and website operators make money for having the ads displayed on their websites. AdWords and AdSense are welcomed additions to the world of e-business and internet marketing.

Google Adsense — Making Money Online Was Never Easier

Labels: , , , , , ,

A few years ago, no one had ever heard of Google.
Today, it is a multi-billion dollar company that is used by just about everybody.
While Google is raking in billions of dollars from their own advertising, there are millions of people across the globe receiving checks every month straight from Google. And anybody can do the same.
Google makes its money by selling advertising. That’s a no brainer. With billions of users, everybody wants to advertise on Google. However, there are so many advertisers that are wanting to place their ads on Google that the company actually runs out of room to put them all. There are more ads waiting to be run than there are searches every day. Because advertisers pay per click, Google naturally wants to show as many ads as possible.
That’s where every day internet users like you and I come in … and can profit.
Because of the mass amount of ads that Google receives every single day, they pay internet webmasters and bloggers to post their ads. When internet users do this, and their readers click on the ads, the webmasters get paid. Here’s an example:
Advertiser X sells insurance. Advertiser X pays $1.00 per click to advertise on Google. John Q allows Google to place ads for Advertiser X on his blog. When a user reads John Q’s blog and clicks on Advertiser X’s ad, Google pays John Q half of Advertiser X’s cost (that is, 50 cents).
What all of this means to you is that you can start making money off of Google Adsense immediately by doing no extra work. You can place these ads in your blog, your online articles, your web site, newsletters, or any other pieces of information that is viewed by many people.
Today, there are blogs and websites that get thousands of visitors every day. If webmasters were just to add the simple Google Adsense code into their page, they could (and many do) pull in hundreds of dollars a day doing absolutely nothing differently.
The great thing about Adsense is that it is extremely easy to set up. Instead of setting up a campaign to sell advertising on a site, one could simply set up an Adsense account and see ads listed immediately. If the traffic is being created, Adsense can create the revenue.
To get started using Google Adsense, go to www.adsense.google.com and sign up. It’s free, and you can be making money instantly.

Web Design Myths

Labels: , , , , ,

Myth #1: Web Design is For Techies
This couldn't be further from the truth. There is free software out there like CoffeeCup that will aid you with your design. The templates have already been pre-created, so all you do is choose the one you want and insert your text.
CoffeeCup also has an upload feature, and if your web host supports the software, you can save your work right to the web.
And if you want to take an even simpler route, there are web hosting solutions like Website Tonight that allow you to select a template, edit the page, and save your work right to the web with a few mouse clicks. Everything you need to build and manage your site comes with the web hosting package.
So before you go out and hire an expensive web designer, make sure you look into the solutions above. You may be able to get what you need at a much lower cost!
Myth #2: Flash Will Enhance Any Website
If you plan on using any enhanced features such as Flash, be sure to use it efficiently and sparingly.
Keep in mind that not every person is surfing with a high speed connection. Some people may still be crawling at 56 or even 28K, so this means the animation may take some time to load.
Remember, this feature should enhance the visit, not hinder it. You don't want people to become impatient and hit the back button before they even see your key message.
Additionally, people may not have the Flash plug-in installed on their PC so before they can view your site, they must wait for it to download.
Don't get me wrong, Flash can be a very nice enhancement to a web site if used effectively. Just make sure you test it out on a sample audience and get their feedback.
Also be sure to give your visitors the opportunity to view a "non Flash" version of your web site for those who cannot or do not wish to read the Flash version. You certainly don't want to lose visitors because people cannot view your site properly.
Myth #3: Lots of Colors Enhance A Web Site
Remember that actual humans will be reading your site so you want to make it as visually pleasing as possible. If your visitor's eyes hurt from reading your pages, they won't return.
Your site should consist of 2 to 3 colors max and remember that it's easier to read dark text on a light background. Even though red and purple may be your favorite colors, they don't generally team up very well for a text/background combination.
Also remember to make sure your hyperlinks are the same color on every page. Many believe you should only use the standard blue color for your links, but I disagree. As long as they contrast from the background and are consistent throughout your site, the color shouldn't matter.
Myth #4: You Can Never Have Too Many Images
When used sparingly, images can really enhance various pages on your web site. They are great for illustrating certain points, and if you're creating a personal site, you may want to add a photo album.
One very important thing to keep in mind about images is that they can make your pages load very slowly. If your page doesn't load within 10 seconds, you are in danger of losing many visitors.
Ideally, your pages should not be larger than 30K in size -- this includes the images and HTML. If you find that they are too large, use an image editing program to size your pictures down.
Additionally, ensure that all of your images are saved in the correct format. Photos should be saved in .jpg format (more colors), while web images, clip art, etc. should be saved in .gif format (fewer colors).
Also remember to always include the "height" and "width" HTML attribute on all of your images so your text will load first instead of waiting until all the images load.
Myth #5: Your Site Is Always Viewed Equally
This is a common mistake made by many webmasters. Just because your site looks fine on your PC, don't assume it looks that good everywhere.
Remember that different browsers handle HTML a little differently. So if you've checked your site in IE, make sure you also view it Netscape.
Also remember that not everyone has their resolution set to the same value. If you're building your site with your screen resolution set to 1024 x 768, make sure you view it in 800 x 600 as well. The latter is still the most popular, so you want to make sure your site looks fine there as well.
If you are using tables, you should set the widths in percentages rather than pixel values. That way if you have the width set to 80%, for example, it will take up 80% of the screen no matter what resolution you view it in.
On the other hand, if you set it to 900 pixels wide on your 1024 x 768 screen, it may look fine, but if someone else is viewing your site using 800 x 600, they will have to scroll left and right to view your entire page. That is a huge annoyance.
Remember to design for the masses!

Adsense: success stories

Labels: , ,

I have been receiving monthly checks from Google since 2003, and I've read numerous success stories of websites earning 5 digit incomes per month with AdSense.
Now, I will admit, a 5-digit commission in a single month is probably not the norm for most participants.
I promote AdSense on three of my websites and my checks have been as high as $4,500.
The more information you have, the greater chance you have of attracting free search engine traffic. That's why it's so very important you choose a topic you have an interest in so you can keep building and building.
My checks weren't always that large. I think my first month's earnings in 2003 totaled less than $20. However, I kept getting more and more search engine traffic by adding more content and the checks slowly began to increase. I had no idea it would grow to anything like this.
COPYCATS BEWARE!
I read an article about a lazy person that copied someone else's content word for word and pasted on their own site. They tried to join AdSense and they were rejected for unauthentic content. I don't know how Google found out their site was a duplicate of someone else's but they did.
Not to mention, the search engines are now ignoring pages with duplicate content. So all the thieves out there that are too lazy to come up with their own content are now finding that they cannot get their site ranked in Google, Yahoo and MSN simply because they've copied someone else's work.
It's not worth the risk. Not to mention, it's illegal to republish someone else's work without permission. That's why you should choose a topic you know a lot about or at least have a great interest in.
There's no reason to copy off someone else's site. Be original. Laziness always comes to bite you in the long-run.
"How Much Can I Earn With AdSense?"
Google does not disclose exactly how much you'll earn per ad that is clicked.
The commission you receive per click depends on how much advertisers are paying Google for the particular ad. You will earn a share of that amount. I've heard of earnings anywhere from 2 cents to $15 per click.
So it is logical to believe that keyword phrases like debt free, employment, make money, mp3, sex, etc. will earn you more per click since these are highly competitive keywords that are searched for quite a bit on the web.
Advertisers generally pay more for popular terms because they are searched for more.
Even though Google will not reveal how much you are earning for each ad that is clicked from your site, you can still login to your account at any time and see the total amount of revenue you've generated that day, week, month, year, etc.
For example, if you see that you've made $12.60 today from 9 clicks then you can calculate that your average click-thru commission was $1.40 per click. That's as detailed as their stats will get. Also remember, that's only an average. You won't know how much each specific ad brought in.
The amount you'll earn also depends largely on the amount of targeted traffic you receive to your own site, how well the ads match your audience's interests, the placement of the ads on your pages, and of course the amount you receive per click.
Ideally, you should create a site on a topic you know a lot about. That way you'll have a much easier time creating a generous amount of content on that subject.

Adsense,,creating money online!!!!

Labels: , , ,

Anyone who owns or is thinking about creating a website would be crazy to ignore this.
I am happy to say that making money with your site, no matter the topic, has become easier than it's ever been before - and it's 100% legitimate.
If AdSense had been available in 2000, I would have NEVER shut down my soap opera fan site that received 200 hits per day. I would have been able to earn money from that traffic and probably turned a small profit.
Untold Facts About AdSense you need to know in order to succeed with the program!
Yes, the money can be great, but if you don't learn how to build a site that attracts targeted traffic then you won't make much from AdSense.
Don't pay a cent for these "Get Rich Quick" books on AdSense. Many of them are all hype. Learn all you need to know for free.

What is AdSense?
Google.com earns most of its revenue by allowing other website owners to advertise on their search result pages. All this is managed through a program they call AdWords.
Now you can earn a share of the revenue that Google earns from AdWords by placing these same text ads on your site. In other words, you're helping Google advertise and they pay you a percentage of what they earn.
This program is called AdSense.
Every website owner should be involved in this. It's just too good of an opportunity to pass up. Even if your site is just for information purposes, you can still participate and make decent money with AdSense -- or at least enough to fund your website.
So if you are one of those people that don't like the idea of paying for a site, this is an excellent way to earn your money back and then some.
Even if you earned as little as $10 in a month, it would more than likely cover some or all of the costs for your web site. Perhaps you are simply looking for ways to add additional revenue to your website, then it's perfect for that situation too.
This program is getting so popular, people are creating websites just to display the ads and profit from Google's AdSense alone.
I don't usually like to use the term "easy money" because there really is no such thing. You still have to create your own website and learn how to bring in traffic in order to make good money with this program.
I certainly don't want to make it sound like you get something for doing absolutely nothing. There's no such thing.
However, I've got to say that AdSense is probably the closest you'll ever come to fast money on the Internet -- especially if you already have a website that gets a good amount of traffic.
What's even better...the program is completely free. You can also use it on multiple websites and there is no limit to the amount you can earn.

10 Easy Ways To Organize Your Business Finances

Labels: , , , , , ,

Whether you are a new entrepreneur or a more experienced business owner, taking control of your finances can feel like a part-time job. Some simple tips can help you streamline your time, organize your finances and reduce the stress of business money matters.1. Keep Your Bills in One Place When the mail comes, make sure it goes in one place. Misplaced bills can be the cause of unwanted late fees and can damage your credit rating. Whether it's a drawer, a box, or a file, be consistent. Size is also important. If you get a lot of mail, use an area that won't get filled up too quickly.2. Pay Your Bills on Schedule Bill paying can be simplified if it's done at scheduled times during the month. Depending on how many bills you receive, you can establish set times each month when none of your bills will be late. If you're paying bills as you receive them, chances are you're spending too much time in front of the checkbook. Although bills may state "Payable Upon Receipt", there's always a grace period. Call the creditor to find out when they need to receive payment before the bill is considered late.3. Read Your Credit Card Statements Most people take advantage of low interest credit card offers but never read their statements when paying the bill. Credit cards are notorious for using low interest as bait for new customers then switching to higher rates after a few months. Make a habit of looking at your statement carefully to see what interest rate you are paying each month and if any transaction fees have been applied. If the rate increases or a transaction fee appears on your statement, a simple call to the credit card company can oftentimes be beneficial in resolving the matter. If not, try to switch your money to a more favorable rate.4. Take Advantage of Automatic Payments Most banks offer a way to automatically deduct money from your account to pay creditors. In addition, the creditors usually offer a lower interest rate when you sign up for this payment option because they get their money faster and on-time. Consider it as one fewer check to write, envelope to lick and stamp to buy. Just make sure you record the deduction when the automatic payment is scheduled or you run the risk of bouncing other checks.5. Computerize Your Checkbook Using a software program is a handy way to organize your finances. Whether it's Quicken(r), Microsoft Money(r) or another package, these easy-to-use programs make bill paying and bank reconciliation a cinch. Computer checks can be ordered almost anywhere and fit right into most printers. Once the checks are printed, all of the information is automatically recorded in your electronic checkbook. Furthermore, many banks have direct downloads into these software packages so when money is deposited or withdrawn, the transaction is entered immediately onto your computer. And, when it comes time to do taxes, it couldn't be easier.6. Get Overdraft Protection Most banks have a service where, if you run the risk of bouncing a check, the money will come from another source. For a nominal fee, the bank will link your checking account to either a savings, money market, or credit card so the embarrassment of bouncing a check will be avoided. Call or visit your bank to learn about this convenient feature.7. Cancel Unused Accounts Whether it's a credit card or bank account, write a letter requesting that the account is formally closed. Not only will this improve your credit score, it is a useful way to avoid money from being scattered all over the place. Don't let department stores and credit card companies lure you into opening new accounts by offering favorable interest rates and purchase discounts. It's easy for credit to get out of hand by taking advantage of every credit offer that comes your way.8. Consolidate Your Accounts If you have several credit card accounts with outstanding balances, try to consolidate them into one. Be careful and check the balance transfer interest rates and one-time fees. Also, make a list of all your open Money Markets, Savings, CDs, IRAs, Mutual Funds, and other accounts to see if any consolidation can be done. Keeping your money in fewer places eliminates all of the guesswork involved and reduces errors.9. Establish Automatic Savings Create a link from your checking account into a savings account that will not be touched. This can usually be done through the banks and automatic amounts will be transferred over each month. Most people will not put money into a savings account on a regular basis. They may wait until a large tax refund check arrives or some other event to actually deposit money into savings, retirement or other accounts. If you establish an automatic savings deposit every month, your accounts will begin accumulating money faster than you think.10. Clean up Your Files Make sure your paid bills are organized in a filing cabinet. Keep individual files for paid bills. Go through your files at the end of each year and throw out bills and receipts no longer needed for auditing purposes. Contact your local IRS office to see how long records need to be kept for audits. Usually federal tax return audits can be done three years back but cancelled checks may need to be kept for seven. Consult the Internet for auditing and records-keeping procedures for your state or region.(c) 2005 DebtGuru.com(r). 10 Key Things to Look for in a Good Web Designer

Labels: , , , ,

The pace of business today is positively supersonic. There doesn't seem to be enough time for anything anymore, and businesses of all sizes are working harder and faster all the time. It's important to work smarter, too. And that means when you have to choose an important vendor for an essential service, you need to slow down and make a deliberate, careful decision. This is particularly important when you are getting ready to put your company's face on the World Wide Web in a new or newly-refurbished web site. Before listing the ten key things to look for in a good web designer, let's define a few terms. Even though you may encounter variants on the name – like web developer, web artist, webmaster and so forth – we're talking about an individual who, alone or with some assistance, is going to "get you up and running." This means more than simple design. You may need someone who can help you conceive and write copy. You may need someone who can plan smart site structure. You may need help getting a domain registered, files uploaded, e-mail accounts set up, and other technical details. You will definitely need someone who can do just about anything, or quickly find out how, or have an associate who can at the ready. With these caveats, and serious encouragement to shop around for price and professionalism, here are the ten things to look for, in rough order of importance:1) ExperienceYou will need someone with all the techniques, tools and tricks that will help you prepare your web site and accomplish your online goals. You should confirm that the candidate knows the entire alphabet soup of protocols, web markup languages and coding utilities: HTML, XML, CSS, PHP and so on. Ask all prospects for a portfolio, ask if they can "hand code," find out how many years of experience each has, etc. When you interview designers, on the phone and/or in person, you will get these answers swiftly enough. But take due time to get more important insights as to the individual's character, level of expertise – and how well your personalities mesh. You will be working closely together, after all.2) Customer service orientationAs important as experience is a mindset and attitude of making customer service a priority. If a designer/developer is too busy to answer e-mails or phone calls, will they be able to keep the production schedule? Ask for references, and make a point of actually calling them. Ask the prospect's previous clients if the web developer was responsive, on time and effective.3) Original copy and graphicsCreating professional and 100% original web graphics separates the adults from the kids every time. Most anyone can do some "quick and dirty" copy writing and slap it on a page with some pictures and hyperlinks. On the other hand, a talented and veteran designer will demonstrate knowledge of page layout, have a way with color and know how to place elements on a page for best appearance and web site performance. Take a good look at a number of the sites each prospect has built, and make sure no one is using "templates" or "starter pages" that come with some software programs or are available (even free) on the Internet.4) CreativityYou need to decide right away (before you even start talking to designers) just how much the designer you find will be involved in the conceptual process. Your designer may need to help you with some of the "big picture" questions, such as marketing, web copy writing (for search engines) and how to generate traffic. You want someone creative, but not a "diva" who won't follow instructions or work with your ideas to bring them to fruition.5) Marketing experienceThe easiest way to find out if your prospective web designers are good at marketing web sites is to view their site and their portfolio. That you are considering selecting them to design you site is a good first indicator that their designs convert. You'll further want to insure that you can find what you're looking for on their site quickly and easily and that you can do the same on some of the sites in their portfolio.6) CostPricing for a professional web site of 10-15 pages with the standard features runs all the way from $500 to $5000. It may be that your idea is so complicated that you might have to pay for an estimate. For a full picture of all the costs involved in the project, ask for all the costs to be broken out individually – domain name and hosting, graphic design work, marketing fees and web development matters. You may need to place a deposit if the job is large enough, and you should have all payment terms worked out before work starts. You can work out an hourly rate, a flat fee or some combination of the two. Leave nothing unstated or assumed: Get every detail in writing, including deadlines and how many revisions are included. 7) Job timelineAfter you ask the developers how long the process will take, make a point of asking references if the project was, in fact, completed on time. A basic web site may take as little as a week, while more involved and technically challenging sites could take a month or more. You need to know what the real-world turnaround time is for the specific people you are considering.8) Communication skillsDon't hire anyone who insists on speaking to you in "computer-ese" or won't explain unknown terminology. You have to communicate with this person about things that are important to your very survival, so you need to be clear at all times. If you cannot establish a good working relationship, it won't matter if you have Leonardo Da Vinci working on your code, it just won't work out.9) Full serviceThere may be one or two things that your designer/developer cannot do, but for the most part you should be able to find a reasonably-priced professional who can handle just about everything. If the designer needs help installing a particularly complicated shopping cart, or your site requires some heavy database programming, it is reasonable to expect that your designer might need some assistance. All of this should be spelled out in the pricing, of course (see #6, above), and you should never be surprised by anything your designer is telling you. If you are, you overlooked something in this list!10) AvailabilityAre these prospects full-time web professionals? Or are they moonlighting from some other job, even a completely unrelated one? It may be that a part-time web designer who's working at McDonald's really can do a great job for you, but will he/she be available to meet with you during normal business hours? No matter what decision you make – full-time pro, part-timer or student – you must be able to get hold of your designer. Finally, do you homework before speaking with anyone. You don't need to be an expert – after all, you're hiring help, because you're not – but you need to know enough to know what you're hearing. If you are uncertain of your own ability to keep on top of what's going on, get a friend with at least basic web knowledge to help you locate, interview and assess candidates.Use all of this "head" knowledge to narrow down your list of candidates, but don't be afraid to use your intuition ("heart" knowledge) to get a feel for each person's honesty, integrity and character. Using this mix of study, inquiry, discussion ,and feel, you will start to develop judgments about the candidates. Following this procedure thoroughly should result in your finding a good match for your Internet needs.
